On October 15, a conference on the occasion of International White Cane Day organized by the Association of the Blind of Kosovo in cooperation with the Office for Good Governance from the Prime Minister's Office took place in Pristina.
The conference was attended by the Head of the Czech Embassy Pavel Bílek. The conference participants evaluated the position of the blind community in Kosovo and called on Kosovo institutions to adopt necessary legislative and practical steps to improve the situation and quality of life of the blind. At the same time, they thanked for the help provided by the international community.
Chairman of the Association of the Blind of Kosovo Daut Tishuki, Chairman of the Kosovo Disability Forum Bujar Kadriu as well as some other speakers appreciated the long-term Czech assistance to blind community in Kosovo.
