EU supports Cultural Heritage in Kosovo

On May 23, 2017 the EU Heads of Mission in Kosovo accompanied by representatives of civil society visited the historic center of Prizren. The main purpose of the event was to influence an attitude and behavioral change among citizens and authorities about the significance of preserving the character of the historic center of Prizren.

The walk of EU Ambassadors through the historic center of Prizren, which is at the same time the cultural capital of Kosovo, was followed by a press statement at Lumbardhi Cinema presented by EUSR Nataliya Apostolova, who said: “By coming here today with such a strong presence, and having invested approximately 10 million euro into the preservation of Prizren's cultural heritage, the EU has demonstrated its firm commitment to the cause of preserving Prizren's culture and identity.”

A discussion with representatives of the civil society at Marasi Restaurant in Prizren ended up the successful visit of EU Ambassadors to Prizren.
