Exhibition "Czech Heroines" in Pristina

The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Pristina presented an exhibition Czech Heroines in the National Library of Kosovo.

On September 26, the opening ceremony of the Exhibition Czech Heroines took place in the National Library of Kosovo in Priština. This exhibition was prepared in cooperation with the Czech Centres and the Faculty of Design and Art of the University of Western Bohemia in Pilsen. It brings illustrated portraits of important women seen through the eyes of the youngest generation of illustrators.

In the opening speech, the Head of the Embassy, Mr. Pavel Bílek emphasized the importance of women who influenced the history of the Czech lands. These inspiring women did not give up on their dreams and left significant marks as artists, politicians, freedom fighters, scientists and athletes. They influenced the history of the Czech lands, and a large number of them gained an international appreciation.

The opening of the exhibition, which the Embassy of the Czech Republic included among the events organized in Kosovo for the Czech Presidency of the Council of the EU, joined representatives of Kosovo's ministries and other important persons of cultural and social life as well as representatives of the diplomatic corps.

The exhibition will be open to the public in the premises of the National Library of Kosovo until October 2, 2022.
