Head of the Czech Embassy and the Czech KFOR contingent paid a tribute to deceased Czech soldiers

Head of the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Pristina Pavel Bílek and the Commander of the Czech contingent in KFOR Major Pavel Netolický, together with the members of the Czech contingent, honoured the memory of two tragically deceased Czech soldiers in KFOR by laying wreaths and holding a minute of silence.

The act of reverence took place on September 10 at a memorial remembering this tragic event near the former KFOR base in Šajkovac.
Members of the 1st Czech and Slovak KFOR Battalion Staff Sergeant Luděk Severa and Superintendent Vlastislav Hendrich died in 2002 in an accident in an armoured personnel carrier. Soldiers of the Czech contingent in KFOR and the Embassy of the Czech Republic commemorate this tragic event together every year.
