The Czech Republic has been long time providing support to the blind community in Kosovo. In recent years, as a part of its development aid has provided funding to get experts for the teaching and orientation of the blind, special books and specialized IT equipment. In recent years, assistance to the blind community has also become a part of the Czech Transition cooperation program and has focused mainly on supporting the preparation of the necessary legislative framework.

The Deputy Prime Minister Emilija Redžepi and the President of the Kosovo Association of the Blind, Daut Tishuki highly praised the Czech Republic's long-standing assistance to the blind in Kosovo. In his speech, the Head of the Czech Embassy emphasized the Czech experience with helping blind citizens, which the Czech Republic also offered in Kosovo. The aim of this assistance is to help that the blind are full-fledged members in society in Kosovo.
