John Kerry in Kosovo

On December 2, 2015 U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry shortly visited Kosovo. At the Adem Jashari Airport, he met Kosovo Prime Minister Isa Mustafa, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Hashim Thaçi and Deputy Prime Minister Branimir Stojanović.

Dialogue Pristina – Belgrade and violence in the Kosovo Parliament were among the top issues discussed at the meeting with the Kosovo political representation. During Kerry’s stay in Pristina, an informal meeting and debate with fourteen Kosovo citizens, basically alumni of U.S. programs took place as well. The Kosovo public appreciates Kerry’s visit as a confirmation of a strong support by the U.S. on Kosovo’s state building efforts and in the integration process to Euro-Atlantic structures. A day after, the U.S. Ambassador to Kosovo Greg Delawie debriefed about the visit members of the diplomatic corps in Pristina.
