On March 26, 2020 the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic Tomáš Petříček met to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kosovo Glauk Konjufca. The Ministers met together day before the annual meeting of Foreign Ministers of the Visegrad Group (V4) and the Western Balkans, held under the Czech Presidency of the V4.

The focus of the ministerial meeting was put on  bilateral relations between the Czech Republic and the Republic of Kosovo.  Both ministers agreed on the need to strengthen mainly the economic dimension of mutual relations.

The issue of cooperation and support of the Czech Republic and the V4 countries to Kosovo and to the Western Balkans region on their way to the European Union was also discussed.

The annual meeting of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the countries of the Visegrad Group (V4) and the Western Balkans organized under the Czech Presidency of the V4 was held on February 27, 2020, in Prague. The meeting was also attended by the Commissioner for Neighbourhood and Enlargement, the Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of Croatia representing the Presidency of the Council of the EU, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Slovenia, and the Secretary General of the Federal Ministry for European and International Affairs of Austria.
