The Czech Embassy honored the memory of the fallen Slovak KFOR soldiers

On October 4, the Head of the Czech Embassy in Kosovo Pavel Bílek together with his Deputy Juraj Melioris took part in a memorial service dedicated to the Slovak victims of the 2006 air disaster. Slovak soldiers served in the joint Czech-Slovak KFOR unit in Kosovo. 

A memorial service was held at the KFOR base in Pristina for 42 victims of the accident that occurred in January 2006 near the Hungarian-Slovak border. The plane was transporting back Slovak members of the KFOR forces from their six-month service in Kosovo. Minister of Defense of the Slovak Republic Jaroslav Naď, KFOR Commander General Ferenc Kajári and the Heads of Embassies of Slovakia, Czechia and Hungary took part in the memorial service. Several dozen relatives of the victims of the plane disaster victims were present.
