During the visit in the Centre, there were present the Chairman of the Kosovo Association of Blind Mr. Daut Tishuki, Director of the Resources Centre Mr. Xhavit Kastrati and his wife, the Head of the Parent’s Board at the Centre Mr. Shemsi Maqastena, teachers, parents and students of this Centre.

Children prepared for their guests short musical program. Mr. Pavel Bílek and his wife had warm communications with children; they walked from one cabinet to another talking to many students. They experienced their high enthusiasm and talent for many subjects. They mainly appreciated their piano play and singing.

“Thanks to the Czech Republic long term experience on education of blind we were able to help Xheladin Deda Resources Centre, not only on equipment, but through exchange programs of Kosovo blind community experts and Czech experts on education, legislation, arts and businesses as well”, said Mr. Pavel Bílek Head of the Czech Embassy in Pristina.

Director of Xheladin Deda Resources Centre Mr. Xhavit Kastrati while thanking for the Czech support said: “What is very much important is that our Centre developed friendship with Czech colleagues. When-ever there is a need for a professional consultation the Czech friends are first to help us”.

Thanks to the 20 years of cooperation with the Resources Centre and The Kosovo Association of Blind, blind children are able today to attend education process from elementary level up to university and post university studies.  Students of this Centre are now participating in the top international festivals while many became lawyers, journalists, publicists, moderators, singers and many other professions.

Director of the Resources Centre Xheladin Deda Xhavit Kastrati handed over to the Head of the Czech Embassy, Pavel Bílek acknowledgment for a long-term support of the Czech Republic to this institution.
