Visit to the Trepča mines

The Head of the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Kosovo Pavel Bílek together with the Economic Counsellor of the Embassy, Květoslav Sulek, visited the Trepča mining plant on 22 July.

The Head of the Czech Embassy met with General Director Rafet Ibishi, Technical Director Shyqyri Sadiku and other representatives of the company. The mining complexes of the Trepča mines have unique reserves of mineral resources, Trepča is Europe's largest lead-zinc and silver ore mine. Representatives of Trepča mines informed about the structure of mineral reserves and the current investment and technical needs of the complex. Representatives of the Czech Embassy and the management of the plant discussed in detail specific opportunities for Czech companies, especially in the field of geophysical and geological survey, supply of mining equipment, revitalization of flooded shafts, etc.
