Workshop on the social inclusion of Roma, Ashkali and Egyptians

A workshop on the social inclusion of Roma, Ashkali and Egyptians in Fushë Kosovo took place between May 22 and 23 2019 in Prishtina and Fushë Kosovo.

The workshop was organized as a part of a joint project "Piloting Social Inclusion of Roma, Ashkali and Egyptians in Fushë Kosovo" by the Czech NGO Counseling Center for Citizenship / Civil and Human Rights, z. s. in partnership with the Civil Rights Program Kosovo. The aim of the project is to create a local action commission in Fushë Kosovo. The project is co-financed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic within the framework of the Transformation Cooperation Program for 2019. During the workshop the Czech guests shared experience with the Kosovo Party with policy and practice in community planning, creation of situational analyses and strategic planning at the municipal level in social inclusion Czech Republic.

The Czech NGO was at the workshop represented by its executive director Mr. Miroslav Dvořák and former Minister of Labour and Social Affairs Mrs. Michaela Marksová. Partner organization Civil Rights Program Kosovo was represented by its executive director Mr. Naim Osmani. The opening speech was also presented by the head of the Czech Embassy in Kosovo Mr. Pavel Bílek. He later met representatives of both non-governmental organizations at the Czech Embassy and together they discussed current project as well as possibilities of further cooperation within the framework of transformation cooperation.
