„Czech Day“ at the KFOR

On November 12, 2016 a "Czech Day" was held on the occasion of the anniversary of the foundation of Czechoslovakia at the KFOR military base „Film City". Ambassador Ivo Šilhavý and the commander of the Czech contingent, Major Kamil Chadim, welcomed numerous international guests from the ranks of KFOR soldiers and stressed the significance and importance of the Czech and international military presence in Kosovo, which maintains peace and stability in the region.

The celebration of the National Day of the Czech Republic - "Czech Day" was held in the "Casa Italia", which was filled on that day with the aroma of the Czech goulash and other culinary specialties of Czech origin and decorated with the objects reminiscent of the Czech Republic and Czech statehood. A rich social program was accompanied by video projection, which presented the Czech Republic and Czech Army. The former President Václav Havel oversaw symbolically the celebration of the Czech National Day from the place of honor.
