RTK on their “Refleksioni” program widely introduced work of the Kosovo education centre for blind, developing a story through different interviews.
“Cooperation and support of the Czech Embassy helped a lot in the education of blind students. It is a long-term support of the Czechs since 2008 until now. Thanks to this support we developed as well a public relations campaign throughout country and trainings for teachers on ordinary public schools that helped us to identify more blind children and older than school children as well who were marginalized within their families and not attending schools”, said Mr. Xhavit Kastrati, principal of the “Xheladin Deda” Resources Centre.
Thanks to the Czech support, blind people were included into system of education. They finished pre-university studies in the Resource Centre, later many of them finished their university and post university studies and some of them now work for public administration as well.
