„United We Can“ – ending-up of the TRANS project

On November 30, 2018 Kosova Democratic Institute submitted a final report on the TRANS project "United We Can", which was aimed at helping minority communities in Prizren and Dragash region.

Press conferences, round tables and individual meetings with local leaders have contributed to increasing transparency and institutional accountability in the decision-making process in the Bosnian and Turkish languages. Also, local institutions in Prizren have undertaken to quickly take up KDI's request to make Romani language an official language in the municipality of Prizren. KDI succeeded in involving the Turkish, Bosnian, Goran and Roma communities in local decision-making processes. Communication with local institutions has been strengthened. Activities have contributed to developing the capabilities of organized groups of citizens to require institutions to be responsible for plans and investments in the localities of the towns of Prizren and Dragash. During the implementation of the project 314 participants were direct beneficiaries, of which 225 men and 89 women.
