Workshop "How to prevent and combat domestic violence in Kosovo"

On June 30, 2022, a two-day seminar on "Prevention and Combating Domestic Violence in Kosovo" was launched in Pristina.

The above mentioned event is organized by the Czech NGO "Counseling for Citizenship / Civil and Human Rights" in cooperation with the Kosovo partner organization Civil Rights Program Kosovo. The seminar is part of the Project of the same name, financed and implemented within the Transformation Cooperation Program of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic. The seminar takes the form of lectures with the participation of experts from the Czech Police focused on sharing experiences in the legislative framework of domestic violence in Czechia, in dealing with specific situations related to domestic violence and providing support to victims of violence by the Czech Police and by relevant Czech NGOs. 

The Czech NGO was at the workshop represented by its Executive Director Miroslav Dvořák. Civil Rights Partner Kosovo was represented by its Executive Director Naim Osmani. Representatives and experts from the Kosovo Police took part in the workshop. At the beginning, Deputy Head of the Czech Embassy in Kosovo Juraj Melioris, greeted the conference participants.
