Company REKO PRAHA has successfully completed the reconstruction of the Kosovo cooling tower

On October 29, 2018 the Czech joint-stock company REKO PRAGUE by pass-through verification tests successfully completed reconstruction of the cooling tower for the power plant Kosovo A. This power plant is located in Obiliqe, the town in the immediate vicinity of the capital of Pristina. The reconstruction started in May 2018.

In 2016 the Czech company REKO PRAHA entered the tender for cooling tower modernization with a Kosovo partner – the company EKOINVEST. The agreement between the Kosovo Energy Corporation J.s.c (KEK) about the modernization of the cooling tower was signed in May 2017. The aim of the reconstruction was to increase cooling efficiency and hence to achieve a higher power plant Kosovo A built between 1962 - 1975.

The Czech Embassy in Pristina actively participated in the search for suitable Czech companies and the establishment of cooperation with the Kosovo partner and supporting the course of the reconstruction.
