(This article expired 27.09.2023.)

On April 27, one of Kosovo's major public service broadcasters (RTK) broadcast a 15-minute report on the pollution of Kosovo's rivers and lakes, as well as on how to address the alarming situation in Kosovo. Among other things, the Czech company TopolWater, which supplies technologies for biological wastewater treatment plants to Kosovo, was evaluated very positively in the report.

The introduction of the report described the complex situation in the area of Kosovo's water management, which is facing pollution of rivers and lakes, into which a large amount of wastewater flows without any mechanical, biological or chemical treatment. Almost a quarter of the report was devoted to modern technologies of the Czech company TopolWater, which are becoming increasingly popular in Kosovo. The report mentioned that the company entered the Kosovo market through a project of the Czech Development Agency. The report highlighted the environmental and economic benefits of biological wastewater treatment provided by TopolWater. The editor of Kosovo TV also stated that an example of good work of Czech company is the wastewater treatment plant in the village of Badovac, where the costs of its construction are lower than the chemical treatment of utility water, which is drawn from the local lake.
