Minister of Economic Development about opportunities in energy and mining sector in Kosovo

Minister of Economic Development Valdrin Lluka met the Czech Ambassador Ivo Šilhavý in Prishtina on 27 March 2018. Ambassador Šilhavý informed Minister Lluka about the last activities of the Czech Embassy in Pristina with Kosovo business partners. Minister Lluka praised the activity of the Czech Embassy and then Ambassador Šilhavý and he discussed the Czech investment opportunities in different projects with a focus on coping with the increasing energy needs in Kosovo.

On this occasion, Minister Lluka informed Ambassador Šilhavý about the most important projects carried out by the Ministry of Economic Development, such as the construction of the new Power Plant - Kosovo C/New, rehabilitation of Kosovo B, as well as other projects in the field of renewable energy.

Minister Lluka informed Ambassador Šilhavý about foreign investment opportunities in the energy and mining sectors, which are of particular importance to Kosovo. Ambassador Šilhavý confirmed that the Czech Embassy is interested in helping Kosovo economy and in inspiring Czech investors to enter the Kosovo market.

Minister Lluka and Ambassador Šilhavý also agreed to strengthen the economic cooperation between the two countries.
