⚠️ From Monday, November 9, 2020, new rules for traveling - both Czech citizens abroad and foreigners to the Czech Republic will start to apply.

(This article expired 29.11.2022.)

❓ Reason: we wanted uniform rules throughout the EU since spring, this is the first step.

The negative evolution of the situation in Europe means that all European countries with the exception of the Vatican will be at least orange from Monday.

ORANGE STATES: Travel is free, but long-term workers must travel with tests when returning to the Czech Republic (not pendlers, but maybe seasonal employees). It belongs here currently: Germany, Estonia, Latvia, Denmark, Finland, Sweden, Norway, Iceland, Cyprus, Greece.

RED STATES: The obligation to be tested on the way back to the Czech Republic applies to all those who spend more than 12 hours in the red country + compulsory tests for foreigners coming to the Czech Republic; the hygiene form will also need to be completed.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic continues not to recommend traveling beyond necessary reasons.
