The Government of the Czech Republic decided to stop receiving visa application

In accordance with the declaration of state of emergency in the Czech Republic (Articles 5 and 6 of Constitutional Act No. 110/1998, about the Security of the Czech Republic), the Government of the Czech Republic adopted a resolution on adopting a crisis measure. Starting on March 14, 2020 all Embassies of the Czech Republic, including visa centers:
• stop the application for Schengen visas, long-stay visas, long-term residence permits;
• suspend the proceedings in the case of an application for a Schengen visa, which has not yet been decided; the visa fee is not refundable;
• stop the acceptance of the application for a reassessment of the reasons for refusing a visa;
• the measure also concerns the application of family members of EU citizens;
• applications for long-term visas / stays already received will be sent to the Ministry of Interior of the Czech Republic.
