Czech Republic supports the creation of an audiology room in a centre for children with disabilities

On 24 October 2022, Mr. Jakub Šlosárek, Head of the Czech Representative Office in Ramallah, and Dr. Muhammad Al-Sayyed, Chairman of the Dura Al-Amal Charitable Association, cut the ribbon on a new hearing examination room at the Association's premises in the town of Dura, south of Hebron. The handover ceremony of the small local project was also attended by Eng. Mohannad Amro, the Deputy Mayor of Dura town.

The Dura Al Amal Association runs a centre for children with disabilities and autistic children in particular. The aim is to enable these children to function as independently as possible and to become part of the society. The hearing tests that the centre can now provide will be used for early diagnostics of hearing disorders in these children and thus help to better target further care. As this is the only audiology clinic in the region south of Hebron, the association plans to open the possibility of hearing tests to patients from Dura and surrounding villages.
