The seminar was led by Eng. Přemysl Voráč from ČEPS, the transmission system operator of the Czech Republic, and it focused on the effects of the renewable energy sources on the power grid. The training for the representatives of PENRA, the Palestinian transmission and distribution companies and the private sector was held in the context of long-term support of the Czech Republic to the development of the Palestinian energy sector. During his introductory statement, Eng. Zafer Milhem, the Chairman of PENRA, thanked the Czech Republic for its continuing support of the use of renewable energy sources that are crucial for the sustainable development of the energy sector in Palestine.
