The diplomats and staff of the Representative Office continued with the established tradition of donating the proceeds of the sale of Czech beer, Christmas cookies, mulled wine and Christmas decorations from the Czech Republic to local charitable causes.

The weather was rather rainy this year so most of the stands had to be inside of the Peace Centre building located at the Manger Square. Nevertheless hundreds of visitors had the opportunity to taste not only traditional specialties offered mainly by European diplomatic missions in Palestine, but also to buy Christmas decorations and small gifts, and especially to enjoy the pre-Christmas atmosphere.

The Czech stand was very popular, not only thanks to the Pilsner Urquell beer, which was a significant attraction but also because of the mouthwatering Christmas cookies made by the wifes and children of the diplomat’s families.
