Concert at the Edward Said Conservatory

On 22nd October 2019, a concert was held in Ramallah at the Edward Said Conservatory. The concert was performed by the young Czech pianist, Ondřej Zavadil, who played compositions by Beethoven, Liszt, and Scriabin and also one of his own for the gathered audience.


Before the concert began the guests we warmly welcomed by George Gatas, Director of the Academic Section of the Conservatory who praised Zavadil and said how impressed he was at what he has achieved and accomplished at such a young age.

After the introductory speech, Mr Zavadil  played compositions by Beethoven, Liszt, and Scriabin as well as one of his own which he composed in 2014. The recital was attended by many distinguished guests including teachers and students from the conservatory. Mrs. Rima Nasir Tarazi one of the founders of the Conservatory and Chairperson of the Supervisory Board also attended the concert. This highly enjoyable and excellent performance by Mr Zavadil was appreciated by the audience with gave him a standing ovation.
