Melodies of Czech and European composers Filled the Historical Premises of the Austrian Hospice in the Heart of Jerusalem’s Old City

In cooperation with the Austrian Pilgrim Hospice to the Holy Family in Jerusalem, on 23 October 2022, the Representative Office of the Czech Republic in Ramallah organized a recital of the accomplished Czech pianist Magdalena Koudelková, a student at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague and winner of numerous piano competitions.

The recital was held on the occasion of the Czech presidency in the Council of the European Union. Featuring a rich and captivating program, the young Czech artist delighted the audience with her deep-felt renditions of the works of L. van Beethoven, B. Smetana, L. Janáček and B. Martinů. Well-known melodies filled the impressive historical premises of the Austrian Hospice in the heart of Jerusalem’s Old City, which bears also Czech footprints. Among the attendees were representatives of the diplomatic corps and partner organizations, as well as guests of the Austrian Hospice, thanks to whose generous support and hospitality the event took place.
