At the beginning of the reception, the introductory speeches were given by the Head of the Czech Mission, Mr. Petr Starý on behalf of the hosts and by the guest of honour H.E.  Mr Khaled al Osaily, the Minister of National Economy.

A musical performance was also part of the reception. The national anthems and other compositions were performed by the young Czech musician, Ondřej Zavadil, the winner of many international piano competitions.

Among the distinguished guests there were representatives of the Palestinian government, members of the diplomatic corps, representatives of the local administration, including several mayors, and members of the Czech-Palestinian Forum as well as Hungarian-Palestinian Forum, the association of Palestinian graduates of Czech, Slovak and Hungarian universities and also Czech, Hungarian and Slovak citizens living in Palestine.
