The EU Head of Missions in Jerusalem and Ramallah visited Nablus Governorate

The Heads of the EU Member States Offices in Jerusalem and Ramallah visited the Nablus Governorate in the north of the West Bank as part of the strengthening of contacts with the Palestinian regions.

The Heads of the EU Member States Offices in Jerusalem and Ramallah visited the Nablus Governorate in the north of the West Bank as part of the strengthening of contacts with the Palestinian regions. During the visit they met the governor, the mayor of the town of Nablus and other senior representatives of the political and economic life of this important region.
Part of the trip was a visit to the refugee camp Balata, the largest in the West Bank (27,000 inhabitants). Representatives of UNRWA introduced visitors to their activities in Balata and mentioned existing challenges in the social and health spheres, while members of the local community described the day-to-day life in a refugee camp or financing its operations.
