Video-briefing on post-election developments in Georgia

On Friday November 20, the Permanent Representation of the Czech Republic to the EU, together with the Open Society European Policy Institute (OSEPI), organized a videoconference on the situation in Georgia. Czech Ambassador to the Political and Security Committee, Ms. Jitka Látal Znamenáčková, expressed wide support to Georgia, including its European aspirations. Georgia is also a key country for the Eastern Partnership, which is currently going through a difficult period, so it is necessary to solve the post-election situation as soon as possible.

The event was attended by three NGO representatives - Elene Nizharadze, Director of the International Society for Fair Elections and Democracy (ISFED), Eka Gigauri, Director of Transparency International Georgia, and Keti Khutsishvili, Director of the Open Society Georgia Foundation (OSGF). The briefing, which was also attended by representative of EU Member States, EEAS and EC, was moderated by Tinatin Tsertsvadze.
