Minister Kulhánek acquainted NATO allies with evidence of the involvement of Russian agents in the Vrbětice explosion

On Thursday, 22 April, Foreign Minister Jakub Kulhánek presented detailed evidence of the involvement of Russian GRU agents in the Vrbětice explosion to the North Atlantic Council. He also thanked the NATO allies for their solidarity and requested their further support.



During the talks, the allies expressed their support for and solidarity with the Czech Republic in the form of a statement of the North Atlantic Council"All our NATO allies have condemned Russia's behaviour towards the Czech Republic and supported the steps we have taken so far," Minister Kulhánek said. "This is confirmation that in the event of a crisis, the Czech Republic has allies it can rely on." 

The top Czech diplomat also reiterated the Czech Republic's request for NATO allies to meet with Russian ambassadors in their countries to protest Russia's destructive activities towards allied security interests and asked for practical assistance for the currently paralysed Czech embassy in Moscow.
