From 7 to 10 September, with the support of the Czech Republic Embassy the "Baroque Music Days" took place in Rezekne.
On September 10, the Czech violinist Lenka Torgersen gave the Gala concert with excellent performance.

Lenka Torgersen studied violin at the Pilsen Conservatory, and at the Prague Academy of Music with Václav Snítil. After graduating in 1998 she started to pursue her interests in Baroque violin, which she studied with Chiara Banchini at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis between 1999 and 2003. Lenka Torgersen is a concertmaster of Collegium Marianum,  and from 1999 to 2012 she served as a concertmaster of Collegium 1704.

Czech baroque violinist performed together with Ilze Grudule, her Latvian classmate.

Lenka Torgersen (baroque violin) together with Ilze Grudule (violoncello) and Ieva Saliete (piano) played not only the classical music of Gaspar Fritz and Francesco Antonioni repertoires known to us, but the audience also had the opportunity to enjoy unique baroque sonatas of the 18th century Czech violinist virtuoso František Benda and František Jiránek.

The artistic performance together with the Czech soloist was a unique adventure for demanding audience of Rezekne and Riga, and on September 11, a concert in honor of Gaspar Fritz was broadcasted by Latvian Radio.
