Exhibition " UNESCO: Czech Heritage" at the National Library of Latvia

As part of the cultural events accompanying the Czech Presidency of the Council of the EU, the exhibition " UNESCO: Czech Heritage" was opened at the National Library of Latvia (NLL) in Riga under the subtitle "Style is not to be written, style is to be looked at". The exhibition was inaugurated on September 7th and will be open to library visitors until the end of the month.

The exhibition " UNESCO: Czech Heritage" was installed in the exhibition spaces of the NLL, with the subtitle "Style is not to be written, style is to be looked at", prepared by the Association of Czech Heritage Communities. The exhibition consists of 17 coloured panels and presents (apart from the introductory panel) 12 traditional monuments of tangible heritage from Prague, Brno, Telč, Kutná Hora, and also 4 monuments of tangible heritage that have been included on the UNESCO list only in 2019-21 – Krušnohoří, Kladrubsko, Lázeňský trojúhelník and Jihočeské bučiny. The opening of the exhibition was followed by a festive concert by the Epoque Quartet and was opened with an opening speech by Ambassador Ms Jana Hynková, who in her introductory focused on promoting the Czech Republic and its beauty, with a natural reminder of the EU CZ PRES. The exhibition of UNESCO monuments will remain in the NLL until the end of September and will be open to all library visitors.
