Exhibition Václav Havel: “Politics and Conscience" at the EU House in Riga

On the eve of the 33rd anniversary of the Velvet revolution (or "student revolution" on November 17, 1989), the exhibition Václav Havel: “Politics and Conscience" will be opened at the EU House in Riga and everyone interested may see it until the end of November. Free entry.

This exhibition prepared by the Embassy of the Czech Republic in cooperation with the Embassy of Slovakia will point out the role of the first Czechoslovak president in the area of politics and human rights. The audience will be able to understand a deeper perspective of human rights as one of the priorities of the CZ EU PRES and Havel's comments on political developments that are very topical even today.

The exhibition consists of 26 panels of photographs and quotes from Václav Havel - all related to the recent development in politics and society. The exhibition will be of interest to a wide range of people, such as politicians and historians, people who want to learn more about the Czech Republic and everyone else for whom the subject is close or interesting.

The exhibition will be open to public from November 17 to November 29.
