During the meeting at the Rezekne City Council with Mayor of Rezekne City council Aleksandrs Bartaševičs, the Chief Executive Officer of the Municipal Institution “Rezekne Special Economic Zone” Sandra Ežmale and City Council representatives,  the visitors were introduced with the most significant Rezekne infrastructure projects and developments, as well as with the economic development tendencies and the essential business support tool – the special economic zone.

The sides discussed the potential co-operation in such fields as business environment, education and culture opportunities.

After meeting at City Council, the Czech delegation visited RSEZ company Verems - birch plywood mill “VEREMS” RSEZ SIA.

After having visited RSEZ, the delegation went to Rēzeknes Satiksme - transport enterprise handling city's and regional passengers’ services, where their director, Mr. Jevgēnijs Koršenkovs has shown 25 newly acquired autobuses from Czech company SOR.

The Czech Ambassador also visited Rezekne Academy of Technology and had meeting with the rector, professors and staff of Rezekne Academy of Technologies.

As well Czech delegation had a trip over Concert Hall and The embassy of Latgale GORS.

One of the program’s points was the visit to metal-working company "LEAX Rēzekne". The company has been running since 2008 and currently is one of the most important businesses and employers of RSEZ, hiring more than 130 workers.

As acknowledged by the Ambassador of Embassy of Czech Republic  to Latvia this type of visits provide an opportunity to get to know Latvia and its cities, and also to promote cooperation between CR and Latvia in economic matters as well as in fields of culture and education.
