Visit to Riga International School and Riga State Technical School by the Representatives of Prague Universities as Part of the Study in Prague Program and Participation in the BCIE: Days of International Education

On Friday, October 13, the representatives of the Study in Prague program visited Riga International School and Riga State Technical School. On Saturday, October 14, they participated in the BCIE: Days of International Education at Radisson Blu Hotel Latvija in Riga. 

On Friday, October 13, the representatives of the Study in Prague program (a program associating and representing five high schools of Prague - the Charles University, the Czech Technical University, the University of Chemistry and Technology, the University of Economics and the Czech University of Life Sciences Prague), Iva Žilíková, Jakub Mareš and Karel Pernica visited Riga International School and Riga State Technical School.

During their presentation the students presented five important Prague universities, their study programs, city of Prague as a safe, interesting and vibrant place for study and out-of-school activities. Their lectures focused on further successful employment after the graduation of the prestigious Prague universities.

On Saturday, October 14, they participated in the BCIE: Days of International Education at Radisson Blu Hotel Latvija in Riga. Throughout the event, the whole team (Petra Karnetová, Iva Žilíková from the University of Chemistry and Technology, Miroslava Kazdová, Jakub Mareš from Charles University, Andrea Petránková, Karel Pernica from the University of Economics, Oleg Fetisov from Czech Technical University and Petra Kadlecová from the Czech University of Life Sciences) communicated with students interested in Bachelor‘s, Master's and doctoral studies at the above high schools. Some of the students were also interested in exchange programs (e.g. Erasmus, Erasmus +), specialized courses and possibility to study in the Czech language.

During this Riga education fair the Embassy staff also helped to familiarize with the project of cooperation in the field of education, exchange programs and offered the Latvian students a wide range of studies at the Prague universities, especially regarding the Study in Prague program which offers a unique opportunity to master most sciences: philology, pedagogy, social sciences, natural sciences, medicine, architecture, economics, business, management, informatics, chemistry, biotechnology, mathematics, nuclear physics, engineering, food, agriculture, forestry, etc. at prestigious Prague universities.

Embassy of the Czech Republic in Latvia in collaboration with the Study in Prague team will further develop the cooperation with secondary and high schools in Latvia.
