Visit of Czech Ambassador to Smiltene

On Thursday, May 31, HE Mr. Miroslav Kosek, the Czech Ambassador to Latvia, paid a visit to the city of Smiltene and met Mr. Gints Kukainis, Chairman of the Smiltene City Council in the frameworks of his regional visits. Mr. G. Kukainis made a presentation of the city telling about its history, current situation, the challenges and the perspectives of development.
Both parties discussed the opportunities of future cooperation in such fields as culture, sport and business. On the focus of the meeting was also the upcoming visit of Czech delegation from Písek – a twin-town of Smiltene.
