Commemorative Medal for soldiers of the 3rd Task Force of the Army of the Czech Republic in Adaži

On Thursday, January 9, Ambassador Hynková and 1st Secretary of the Embassy Hušková attended the decoration of the soldiers of the 3rd Task Force of the Army of the Czech Republic in Alliance's enhanced Forward Presence (eFP) in Latvia. Ambassador Hynková expressed her thanks to soldiers for their mission.
The ceremony led the commander Lieutenant Jaromir Hapla. The ceremony took place in Adaži. The current Czech unit has been operating here since July 2019 and consists mainly of soldiers from the 72nd Mechanized Battalion Přáslavice. The Czech Army is participating in the eFP mission in Latvia since beginning 2018. The main task of the unit in the framework of NATO's forward presence is to demonstrate its determination to defend the sovereignty and territorial integrity of NATO member states through its active presence and training in the area of operation.
