Czechia – Latvia: Beyond 100, Čehija – Latvija: pāri 100

On the occasion of the centenary of diplomatic relations between the Czech Republic and Latvia and the Czech Statehood Day, the Czech Embassy and the National Library in Riga are organising a conference "Czech-Latvian Relations in Historical Context" on September 30, followed by the opening of the exhibition "J. A. Komenský's Legacy to the World".
From the Czech side, the conference will feature presentations by experts on relations in historical context Luboš Švec and Pavel Štoll. Jānis Krastiņš, laureate of the Gratias Agit Award of the Czech Minister of Foreign Affairs, will also present his views on the relationship. On behalf of Latvia, the speakers are Jānis Šiliņš and Valdis Pīrāgs. The event is by invitation only. However, the exhibition will be freely accessible in the foyer of the National Library for the next few days.
