Relations between the Czech Republic and the Kingdom of Bahrain

Diplomatic relations between the Czech Republic and the Kingdom of Bahrain were established on 1 January, 1995.

In  June 2009 H.E. Ahmed Mohamed Yousif Al Dosery, the new Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain, with residence in Berlin, submitted his credentials to the President of the Czech Republic. In October 2009 H.E. Lubomir Hladik, the Ambassador of the Czech Republic to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Kingdom of Bahrain and Sultanate of Oman has submitted his credentials to His Majesty the King Hamad bin Issa Al Khalifa.

Visit of H.Kmoníček, Deputy Minister of Foregn Affairs of the Czech Republic in May 2010.

In May 2011 H.E. Ahmed Mohamed Al Khalifa, the Minister of Finance of Bahrain visited Prague and signed the Agreement on Avoidance of Double Taxation.

In January 2012 the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, H.E. Karel Schwarzenberg, visited Bahrain. It was the first historical visit of Czech minister of foreign affairs in Bahrain. H.E. Karel Schwarzenberg has been accompanied by a business mission headed by the Czech Chamber of Commerce.

In February 2013 H.E. Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister of Bahrain, visited Czech Republic.

In January 2014 First Deputy Minister of Health of the Czech Republic visited Bahrain with business mission of Czech companies from the field of health.

Agreements

Air Transport Agreement signed in Prague in April, 2001.

Agreement for Promotion and Protection of Investments signed in Prague in October, 2007. The Agreement is in force since 17th November, 2009.

MoU between the Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic and the Ministry of Health of the Kingdom of Bahrain, 2014

Agreement on Avoidance of Double Taxation has been signed in Prague in May 2011 and entered in force in April 2012.
