Delegation of the Parliament of the Czech Republic visited Oman

On March 13 – 16, 2017 the delegation of the Committee on Defense of the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic visited the Sultanate of Oman. The delegation was headed by Mr. David Kádner, Chairman of the Committee, and accompanied by Mr. Tomáš Kuchta, Deputy Minister of Defence, as well as representatives of academic and business sector.
 

The program included meetings with the Vice President of the Consultative Assembly (Maglis Shoura) of the Omani Parliament H.E. Shaikh Rashed Ali Al Shamsi, with the Chairman of the State Council of the Omani Parliament H.E. Dr. Yahya Bin Mahfoudh Al Manthri, with the State Secretary of the Ministry of Defense H.E. Mr. Mohammed Bin Nasser Al Rasabi, with the General Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Oman H.H. Sayyid Badr Bin Hamad Al Busaidi, with the Commander of the National Defence College of Oman Gen. Salim Qatan including visit to the Military Technological College. The delegation attended a gala concert at the Royal Opera House Muscat with the currently performing Prague Philharmonia Orchestra (PKF).

Following last year's visit to Oman by the Minister of Foreign Affairs H.E. Mr. Lubomír Zaorálek and political consultations held by the Deputy Foreign Minister H.E. Mr. Martin Tlapa in February this year, meetings by the Committee on Defence contributed to further development of bilateral relations in all relevant areas of cooperation.
