Diplomatic relations between the Czech Republic and the Sultanate of Oman were established on 1 March, 1993. H.E. Dr. Zdenek Polacek was historically the first Czech Ambassador accredited to the Sultanate of Oman. He presented his credentials to His Majesty Qaboos, Sultan of the Sultanate of Oman on 14 December, 2003.

H.E. Lubomir Hladik - current Ambasador of the Czech Republic to Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Oman presented his credentials in December 2009.

In May 2010 Dr. H. Kmonicek, Deputy Minister of Foreign Afairs of the Czech Republic, held political consultations with Mr. Ahmed Youssef Al-Harthi, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Sultanate of Oman.

In April 2013 visited Oman delegation of the Committe for Economy, Transport and Agriculture of the Senate of the Parliament of the czech Republic headed by Mr. Zdeněk Škromach, Deputy Chairman of the Senate.

In November 2015 the delegation of the Czech entrepreneurs lead by Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Mr. E. Muřický visited Oman and discussed future co-operation with Oman Cchamber of Commerce and Industry .

In February 2016 Minister of Foreign Affairs L. Zaorálek, acompanied by Deputy Minister of Defence and delegation of Czech entrepreneurs visited Oman.

In February 2017 Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs M. Tlapa held the political consultations in Oman; he was accompanied by large commercial delegation lead Vice-President of the Czech Chamber of Commerce B. Minář.

In March 2017 the delegation of the Defence Committee of the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic headed by its chair D. Kádner and accompanied by Deputy Minister of Defence T. Kuchta visited Oman.

In October 2017 delegation of Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry headed by M. Al Shahab visited the Czech Republic.

Agreements:

In March 2011 the Agreement on Air Transportation was agreed upon and initialed by experts of both governments. The Agreement has to be yet approved by respective authorities and signed.

In December 2012 the Agreement on Avoidance of Double Taxation was initialed and is in the pre-signing process on Omani side.
