Bilateral Relations between the Czech Republic and the Republic of Korea

Diplomatic relations between the two countries were established on 22 March 1990. The Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Prague was opened on 13 June 1990, the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Seoul was opened on 19 July 1991.
The Republic of Korea belongs among the most important political, economic, cultural and touristic partners of the Czech Republic outside Europe. That is why the Declaration on the Strategic Partnership was adopted during the official visit of the Prime Minister Bohuslav Sobotka in the RoK in February 2015. The Action Plan implementing the Strategic Partnership was signed during the visit of President Park Gyun-hje in Prague in December 2015.
