In this interview, Ambassador shared the stories about Czech Legions' cooperation with Korean independence activists in 1920 through the arms deal which is known to have contributed to Koreans' victory in representative resistance movements such as the Battle of Cheongsanri (in Korean: 청산리 전투) against Japanese troops.

 

In addition, Ambassador Slamečka introduced Korea as featured in the records of old Czech books and newspaper articles. Especially, he read a few Czech articles on Československý Deník (Czechoslovak Daily) for the viewers in English which delivered news to Czech citizens about colonized Korea and its movements for freedom and independence.
