Speaker of Parliament Markéta Pekarová Adamová meets Korean Speaker of National Assembly Kim Jin-pyo

Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies of the Czech Parliament Madam Markéta Pekarová Adamová, who visited Korea with the political and business delegation from March 22nd to 25th, met the Speaker of the Korean National Assembly Kim Jin-pyo.
 

On the first day of her visit to Korea on March 23rd, Speaker Adamová met her Korean counterpart in the reception room of the National Assembly to discuss Czechia-Korea cooperation in the nuclear and hydrogen sectors and the Ukrainian issues.

Regarding the cooperation in the nuclear and hydrogen sectors, Speaker Kim requested Speaker Adamová's interest and support, saying, "KHNP (Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power) has submitted a bid for the construction of the nuclear power plant in Dukovany, Czechia. We hope the KHNP to be announced as the winning bidder in March next year."

Speaker Adamová expressed her support for KHNP by saying, "KHNP is a reliable partner and Czechia looks forward to expanding our cooperation in the energy and science and technology sectors in the future," adding, "I will convey my first-hand experience to the relevant ministries during my visit to Busan."

On the issue of Ukraine, Speaker Adamová invited Speaker Kim to attend the Parliamentary Speakers' conference to condemn Russia and support Ukraine, scheduled in October.

The Czech delegation, comprising approximately 40 government officials and 50 business delegates, will visit Busan during the visit and tour the facilities for the World Expo 2030 Busan.
