Meeting with the Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power

Ambassador G. Slamečka and KHNP managmenet BS Noh and H. Chang, Vice President and Director of the Nuclear Energy Section of Korea Hydro Nuclear Power had met up to discuss possibilities of cooperation in promoting mutual trade exchange and relations between Czech and Korean companies, science and technology organizations and universities

On August 12, 2019, Ambassador G. Slamečka and Mr. BS Noh, Mr.SY Lim, Vice Presidents and top management of  Korea Hydro Nuclear Power (KHNP) had met up to discuss possibilities of cooperation in promoting mutual trade exchange and relations between Czech and Korean companies, science and technology organizations and universities

The aim of the meeting was to discuss with the representatives of the Korean company the possibilities of cooperation in promoting mutual trade exchange and relations between Czech and Korean companies, science and technology organizations and universities.

Ambassador G. Slamečka stressed that we are interested not only in advanced Korean technologies, but also in exports of Czech units, products and technologies from the energy sector. Czech companies, such as ÚJV Řež, can offer design and engineering activities with a focus on monitoring and safe operation of energy sources, radioactive waste management, energy storage as well as solutions to the stability of energy networks.

During the meeting it was stated that the most appropriate form of deepening mutual relations in the field of energy, engineering and scientific and technological development will be the organization of a two-day Czech-Korean energy forum to present Czech and Korean companies not only in nuclear and hydropower also companies dealing with alternative energy sources and, in general, research and production in the field of energy.
