MInister Martin Kupka holds meetings with Korean railway oragnisations

Following a meeting with Korean Minister of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport Won Hee-ryong on April 13, a delegation of the Czech Minister of Transport Martin Kupka met with the Korea Railroad Corporation (KORAIL) and the Korea National Railway.

Minister Kupka took the opportunity to learn about Korea's experiences and knowhows in high-speed rail operations and to discuss the current status of the Czech government's high-speed rail construction project.

Following the meeting with KORAIL, the delegation took a test ride on the KTX train from Daejeon to Dongdaegu Station. During the ride, Martin Kupka discussed with Korea National Railway Korea's high-speed rail technology, including railway structures and signalling systems.

The Czech government has ambitious plans to build a high-speed railway network with a total length of 650 km by 2025. We are confident that the meaningful discussion between the two countries will be significant assets to the project.
