Meeting of the Czech Embassy in Seoul with representatives of the Korean Hydrogen Platform

In preparation for PROPED "Presentation of the potential of Czech research and innovation centers in the field of energy", specifically in the field of water technologies, VZÚ G. Slamečka, DEK P. Kalina and EEMS S.Y.Lee met with representatives of the hydrogen platform in Korea.
 

The meeting took place on 23 November 2020 at the Hydrogen Convergence Alliance (H2KOREA) centers, bringing together around 80 hydrogen-related organizations. Embassy representatives were welcomed by Mr. Sungbok Kim, Chief Operating Officer, and his deputies. The courtesy introduction was followed by a presentation of Korea's Hydrogen Strategy, which mentioned the goals for 2030 and emphasized the independence of Korean industry, along with the production of hydrogen technology and hydrogen economy.

Then, in mutual discussions, HCL and VZÚ also outlined a possible area of ​​cooperation with Czech entities.

For example:

• Transport and storage of hydrogen (high pressure vessels)

• Research and development in the field of hydrogen production / treatment and purification

• Delivery of equipment for hydrogen production (electrolysis)

There could be mutually advantageous cooperation between the TA CR and the Korean agency KETEP, which finances science and development (R&D), and in the field of energy cooperation with the KIAT agency, which collaboratively financed 10 Czech-Korean R&D projects.
