Visit of the Ambassador-at-Large for Energy Security of the Czech Republic to the Republic of Korea

At the end of March, the Ambassador-at-Large for Energy Security of the Czech V. Bartuška visited the Republic of Korea. V. Bartuška visited Korea for negotiations related to strengthening mutual cooperation in the energy sector, with focus on traditional energy sources such as nuclear energy and gas, but also the rapidly developing „green“ energy sector, including hydrogen mobility.

In addition to meetings at the Korean Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ambassador also met with representatives of major energy companies, including KHNP, KEPCO NF, Doosan, KOGAS, and visited the Korean Atomic Energy Research Institute (KAERI).

In the context of the current geopolitical and economic situation, finding suitable partners and strengthening cooperation in the energy sector is critical, and given the high technological level, flexibility and competitiveness, the Republic of Korea appears to be a potentially strategically important partner.
