Czech Republic was country of honor at the second China International Import Expo. Located right opposite the Chinese pavilion, Czech national pavilion attracted the attention of countless visitors with a wide display of Czech products.

With pictures of Czech landscape and historical monuments in the background, Czech exhibitors presented innovative and high tech products reflecting the long tradition of Czech industry. Visitors could see high speed ultralight plane from Shark Aero, Škoda car, technology to transform used cooking oil into biodegradable components for use for example in cosmetics from Nafigate, nanomaterial dresses from Lada Vyvialová, high precision optical devices from Meopta, machine tools from TOS Varnsdorf, Electronic microscopes from Tescan, or laser systems from HiLASE.

Czech Traditional and unique products also had their spaces at the pavilion. These included for example crystal stones and the crystal balls commemorating the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the Czech Republic and China from Preciosa Components, glass dragon statue from Milan Šípek, crystal glass from various Czech brands, design ceiling lights from Bomma or wooden furniture from Ton.

To make the whole experience even more pleasant, visitors could marvel at the live demonstration of glass engraving from Czech engraving master Jiří Tesař, or listen to the beautiful tunes produced by pianist Richard Pohl on a Petrof piano.

Since Czech crystal is famous worldwide and also very popular among Chinese customers, it received special attention at the second CIIE.
