On 30 November, consul general of the Czech Republic Richard Krpač officially opened the #MeToo in China exhibition. During the five days, the "#MeToo" exhibition and accompanying events attracted more than 450 visitors.

Together with the exhibition, two panel discussions and two workshops were organized. Consulate General of the Czech Republic in Shanghai invited Ms. Johanna Nejedlová to participate in the events. Ms. Johanna Nejedlová is the founder of Czech NGO Konsent, focusing on prevention of sexual harassment and violence against women in the Czech Republic. On 4 December 2019, she was awarded the prestigious Women of Europe award for her work.

During the workshops, participants were able to learn more about different forms of sexual harassment, different scenarios in which it can occur, how to react in such situations and discussed how to help victims of domestic violence.

In addition, in the panel discussions, advocates from Canada, the United Kingdom, Finland, the Czech Republic, and China discussed the development of #MeToo Movement in each country and the difficulties encountered from different perspectives. Several speakers mentioned that, although the #MeToo movement has revealed many cases of sexual assault and sexual violence, only a few perpetrators have actually been brought to justice.  After the public concern has subsided, promoting changes in social power relations will require patience and perseverance. The speakers stressed that by working together, people can make a difference.
