Temporary suspension of visa applications submission in China

Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic has issued a protective measure whereby it instructs the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Beijing, Consulate General of the Czech Republic in Shanghai, Consulate General of the Czech Republic in Chengdu and Consulate General of the Czech Republic in Hong Kong not to receive applications for visas and residence permits, not to process them and not to decide on them, including visa issuance.

Applications for short-term Schengen visas of family members of the Czech Republic citizens are exempted from this measure. Due to the fact, that Czech Visa Application Centres are closed, we request applicants to contact the Consulate General in Shanghai by email at shanghai@embassy.mzv.cz. The appointment at the Consulate General will be confirmed subsequently.

Ministry of the Interior similarly shall suspend decision-making on applications already processed that have been submitted at these diplomatic missions.

The protective measure is in effect until further notice.
